Nike is organizing one of the coolest and greatest events ever to hit Istanbul. We’re not talking about the biggest scale, we’re actually talking about something you and I find cool. Basketball courts, cool people (some famous Basketball players as well, haha!), an amazing location with an astonishing view, good music by good DJs, a sneaky AF1 9Designer Exhibition, and of course the first Lastik Pabuc Pop-up Store. You catch our drift, everybody should join us @ Platform Istanbul on September 1, 2 and 3!

This three day event has its own Facebook Page where you can find more info on what you can do there. The teaser for the event you see here is made my our good friend and creative genius Baran Baran. More info on the events there will follow in upcoming posts!

Don’t forget that the sale also includes accessories like G-Shocks, Incase products, Super Sunglasses and more. In our clothing sales section (in-store only) we have sliced prices on products from brands like Pimpalicious, Nike, and Plain Jane among others. And most importantly of course a lot of sneakers are on sale.

The little app they released today, 19th of August 2010, makes it possible to browse through the collections, get all the latest H&M buzz, be inspired by their Syle Guides for men and women!

The thing that appeals most to us is their wish list though. I mean, we can’t wait to add a new dimension to our H&M shopping ritual: now we’ll be checking the stuff first on the web, then when you’re on your way to the H&M store you can still eliminate some pieces from your wish list on your iPhone and then when you get there… you buy more than you needed anyways!

So from now on the best way to stay up-to-date with our Swedish geniuses is the iPhone app. Check out their Press Relase here!

In our 2nd year we expect to come even harder with some new brands, new clothing, a couple of events, a killer mixtape, more blog posts (haha!), and of course more sneakers! So keep an eye on the blog and I promise you that the website is going to be online before the end of the week and we’ll be back in business like you expect from us.

It’s our new neighbor in the lovely Galata neighborhood and with so many boutiques around here (not too many, just lovely many!) it feels like this is the perfect place for a new high-fashion boutique.

Due to the big fashion background of the owners, Atelier 55 managed to bring David Koma and Avshalom Gur to Turkey. Of course Bora Aksu, Charlotte Olympia, Linda Farrow and Ümit Benan are also a pretty good reason to drop by! Besides Mondays you can do so everyday between 9:00 and 21:00 at the Seraskerci Cikmazi No:55!

But the upcoming birthday party of Istanbul’s finest vintage shop Tabe Kiyamet is going to be impossible to top. Just the location on itself is a reason to try to get yourself invited. The British Consulate-General in Istanbul has opened its doors for this Amadeus-style party on the 5th of June.

To get in, you better keep an eye on Tabe Kiyamet’s Facebook page and drop by the store to support them by buying some cool vintage stuff or just give them some money under the counter, haha. Good luck and for all of you who can’t attend, don’t worry you can follow the night live online at a special website called Kiyamete Kadar!

But no, PopBar’s popsicles are so amazing that you won’t be able to control yourself and you’ll have to try one. Or two. These hand-crafted gelati on a stick are made from natural ingredients and come in a huge variety of original flavours. Delicious fresh fruits, but also ice pops with cucumber lime taste. Besides being a good friend of ours we feel that her designs are a lovely addition for the many ladies that visit Lastik Pabuc. Güneş has garnered a lot of praise for the beautiful leather bag designs she has made in the last couple of years. You also might remember her from a post we did on the opening of Laundromat where her stuff was being sold.

In the store she will sell many of her famous items, but she will also showcase some of her brand new designs. The opening will be this Thursday from 19:30 till late! There will be music & drinks and of course a chance to talk to the designer herself. See you there!

The sale will be going on this Saturday and Sunday (the 8th & 9th of May) only and nowhere else than in the basement. So NO web shop sale going on.

To all of our good friends outside of Istanbul we promise that we won’t forget about you, but this one is in-store only.

So spread the word or, if you like to be sneaky and greedy, don’t spread it and get all the nice shoes, t-shirts and accessories for your self!

Now our friends from Supercharged TV have put the interview online and we wanted to share this with all of our friends. Despite the fake Brooklyn accents we’re talking about how the store came about and why we love doing what we’re doing so much. Because it’s in English I hope most of our friends can watch it too.
