His slick minimalist style and nice color combination make these posters speak out almost as much as the videos did. Of course it’s not a coincidence Federico chose clips by great directors like Jonathan Glazer, Michel Gondry, Anton Corbijn, Spike Jonze, Mark Romanek, Chris Cunningham and Stephane Sednaoui. So another source of inspiration for Mancosu was undoubtedly the famous DVD collection Director’s Series that features all of these directors.

Besides the MJ poster we have chosen, the poster for Jamiroquai’s Virtual Insanity and Daft Punk’s Around The World are also very impressive. You can check them out here!

The best comedy on air right on must be Modern Family with Emmy winning actor Eric Stonestreet and the fact that they beat more established series like 30 Rock, The Office and Curb Your Enthusiasm was a bit of a surprise. A good one though. And even though Glee didn’t win that category Jane Lynch AKA Sue Sylvester did get her much deserved prize as an ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series’.

Of course there’s also some questions like ‘is there really anybody who watches that freaking retarded show The Big Bang Theory?’ That shit ain’t funny, edgy, interesting, or anything. It’s not even geeky! There were some new shows I haven’t watched yet like Nurse Jackie, The Good Wife and I really look forward to Al Pacino in TV film You Don’t Know Jack. Does anybody have any thoughts on them?

Nike is organizing one of the coolest and greatest events ever to hit Istanbul. We’re not talking about the biggest scale, we’re actually talking about something you and I find cool. Basketball courts, cool people (some famous Basketball players as well, haha!), an amazing location with an astonishing view, good music by good DJs, a sneaky AF1 9Designer Exhibition, and of course the first Lastik Pabuc Pop-up Store. You catch our drift, everybody should join us @ Platform Istanbul on September 1, 2 and 3!

This Friday (27th of August 2010) we’ll see a rare combination of DJs at Istanbul’s best alternative club of the past two/three years. For the real minimal and techno lovers the German creme-de-la-creme will come over and among them is also Zip who used to be a regular supporting DJ at Istanbul parties. His extremely energetic and positive vibe is a wideknown fact and we can’t wait to see him play again!

Of course Dandy Jack & his wife Sonja Moonear’s live set as Junction SM won’t be too hard on the ears as well. I mean you would expect that these legendary names are enough to last us a couple of months, but there’s even more…

Minimuzikhol has pulled it off to find an extra special sauce for the night: DJ Mark Ernestus aka Maurizio. The legendary name in the electronic music scene that combined dub and techno in the early nineties. I think we’re all really excited to be part of this amazing night. Hooray for them and now let’s start pre-drinking till it’s time to go nutballs! More info on their Facebook Event Page!

The designers that we’re especially looking forward to are all the designs of amazingly talented London-based designer Bora Aksu, the stylish and always on trend womenswear by Gamze Saraçoğlu and we hope to see some amazing menswear from Hatice Gökçe.

In our eyes this is the only real fashion week in Turkey and every time we go there we feel proud that Turkish designers have reached a very high standard. It will only be a few years before this Fashion Week will be followed by fashion aficionados all over the world.

Of course we love the sharpness of HD and we might even like home 3D if you don’t have to wear ridonculous glasses that make you look like a geek and give you a drowsy feeling in the head. But we feel it’s just too soon for this point-and-shoot Finepix W3 Digital Camera.

We haven’t even seen the working version of the 3D TV and now they want us to take pictures in 3D. What does that even mean? Can I touch it? Feel it? Rub it? Argh! Guess, we’re getting old.

Bottle pimping has been quite the thing lately and after the Spike Lee Absolut collabo we now see that Kaws went all out… not! I mean the bottles look nice, really nice, but it’s impossible to say that he has really done something amazing with them. The two different types of beer (one Lager and one Amber) have two X’s prominently on them. We know that’s his trademark and all and it really fits in well with the Dos Equis logo (which are two X’s as well), but in a way we might have expected something more.

Best thing about it, is definitely the video for the collabo. Nicely shot and shows us that Kaws did everything in an hour or two, haha! Does it really matter though? The bottles are going to be sold in Mexico only in September 2010 so the chances of us drinking, tasting, admiring one in real life is as big as Kid Cudi & Kanye West showing up to the 2-Year anniverary of Lastik Pabuc. You dig?!

Besides being a drawing tablet, the uDraw makes it possible to play games like Pictionary and… uh? Yeah, well that’s the thing. I have no idea what you’re going to use it for, but just like with the iPad I feel this is some kind of thing that is cool without having an actual purpose!

The thing that appeals most to us is their wish list though. I mean, we can’t wait to add a new dimension to our H&M shopping ritual: now we’ll be checking the stuff first on the web, then when you’re on your way to the H&M store you can still eliminate some pieces from your wish list on your iPhone and then when you get there… you buy more than you needed anyways!
